We have open positions for PhD students and Postdocs in the Programming Languages group of Eelco Visser at TU Delft. If you would like to provide a contribution to our work on language engineering, semantics engineering, and/or language design in the context of the Language Designer's Workbench project and the Spoofax Language Workbench, and you have a strong background in programming languages, language engineering, and/or verification you are most welcome to apply. Conditions of employment

Candidates are expected to be available to start in the Fall of 2016 (September to November).

For PhD students: The successful candidate will be granted a temporary employment contract with the university for a period of 4 years (48 months), with an evaluation at the end of the first year. Within the contract period, the candidate is expected to produce a dissertation (PhD thesis) of sufficient quality for him/her to be awarded a PhD. Salary starts at 2125 EUR gross per month in the first year and grows to 2717 EUR gross per month in the fourth year (2015).

For postdocs: Postdoc contracts will typically start with a one year appointment with optional extension with 1, 2, or 3 years. Salary starts at 2717 EUR gross per month depending on experience.
